I built this website to show that a standalone domain can provide information and services in a way that simply cannot be matched using a social media platform. Websites are standalone domains designed to provide information, services, and resources. Social media platforms focus on fostering communication and collaboration among users. Most information retrieved from a website has been vetted, the same cannot be said for social media platforms. People can and will say just about anything, usually to gain some form of attention.
A well-designed website boosts credibility and enhances its overall image. Careful selection of typography, color schemes, and imagery creates a professional appearance. Ultimately, a well-crafted website improves user satisfaction, increasing the likelihood that visitors will return.
My goal was to create a tool that was simple to access, easy to maintain, and free of point/counterpoint banter one sees in social media sites. Hopefully the Board of Directors will see fit to exploit what is currently a free and extremely effective administrative tool.
